IDI Qualifying Seminar - IDI Qualifying Seminars are available for individuals to be trained and licensed as IDI Qualified Administrators to use the Intercultural Development Inventory. The IDI QS is presented by an experienced, licensed IDI Qualified Administrator in three sessions (4.5 hours each) across three days (one session per day).
IDI Validation Research - The Intercultural Development Inventory®, or IDI®, is a widely-used assessment of intercultural competence, with over 60 published articles and chapters and over 66 Ph.D. dissertations. The IDI has been rigorously tested and found to possess high cross-cultural validity and reliability. As a result, validity of the IDI is established not through “face” validity, but, rather, far more rigorous psychometric criteria.

- 2016 IDI Validation ACS Independent Review: Phase 3 - IDI, LLC (IDI) requested an independent review of the current state of the validity evidence associated with the use of IDI Inventory test scores. The IDI Inventory is designed to assess intercultural competence, defined as the “capability to shift cultural perspective and appropriately adapt behavior to cultural differences and commonalities.”
- 2017 IDI Validation ACS Validation Analyses Results: Phase 3 - This report is designed to provide an overview of all of the analyses that have been completed by ACS Ventures, LLC (ACS) for the IDI Inventory.
- 2011 IDI Validation Study: Phase 2 - Additional cross-cultural validity testing of the Intercultural Development Inventory published by the International Journal of Intercultural Relations.
