Beth Zemsky, MAEd, LICSW, is an IDI Qualified Administrator and is an IDI Qualifying Seminar Instructor. Beth comes to her work with a commitment to engage people in learning activities that move them to understand critical social and cultural issues. Building on best practice approaches, Beth specializes in intercultural organizational development and intersectional movement building with organizations working towards social change and structural transformation. Beth has 35 years of experience working as a consultant, community organizer, psychotherapist, educator, and organizational leader including serving as the principle of Zemsky and Associates Consulting, a member of the One Ummah Consulting team, founding Director of the GLBT Programs Office at the University of Minnesota, and former co-chair of the Board of Directors of the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force. In addition, Beth has been adjunct faculty at University of Missouri – St. Louis, Augsburg College, and University of Minnesota where she has taught courses in Gender & Sexuality Studies, Social Work, and Family Social Science. Beth has been honored by receiving a Bush Leadership Fellowship to study organizational development of social change organizations, OutFront MN’s Legacy Award, and Quorum’s Lifetime Achievement Award for service to Minnesota’s LGBT community. Beth is the recipient of the 2016 IDI Intercultural Competence Award.

- IDI Qualifying Seminar - Online IDI Qualifying Seminars are available for individuals to be trained and licensed as IDI Qualified Administrators to use the Intercultural Development Inventory. The Online IDI QS will be presented by an experienced, licensed IDI Qualified Administrator in three sessions (4.5 hours each) across three days (one session per day). - IDI Validation Research - The Intercultural Development Inventory®, or IDI®, is a widely-used assessment of intercultural competence, with over 60 published articles and chapters and over 66 Ph.D. dissertations. The IDI has been rigorously tested and found to possess high cross-cultural validity and reliability. As a result, validity of the IDI is established not through “face” validity, but, rather, far more rigorous psychometric criteria.
