About

Michelle de Bruijn-Meijer is an IDI Qualified Administrator, facilitator, coach, and trainer with a strong background in intercultural communication and dialogue. She works primarily with teams and organizations in education and the social domain, supporting them to navigate difference, complexity, and collaboration across cultures.

Michelle’s approach is grounded in the belief that intercultural development begins with awareness, reflection, and the courage to listen beyond discomfort. In her IDI work, she creates psychologically safe and engaging spaces for individual and team debriefs, where participants feel seen, heard, and invited to grow. She combines the IDI framework with dialogical practices, embodied awareness, and a deep respect for multiple perspectives.

She facilitates individual IDI debriefs, team profiles with individual conversations, and group sessions focused on meaning-making and practical integration into daily work. Michelle is experienced in virtual delivery across time zones and works primarily in English (and Dutch).

Alongside her IDI work, Michelle is trained in Deep Democracy (Levels 1–5) and draws on Holding Space principles to support inclusive decision-making, learning, and collaboration. Her work invites teams not only to understand cultural differences, but to use them as a source of insight, connection, and movement.
