Elisa Bowers is the Program Manager for Personalized Learning for Denver Public Schools. Currently, her work includes supporting schools implementing personalized learning and the innovative practices that are key to learner agency and independence. She also facilitates multiple professional development topics related to personalized learning and innovation. Elisa leads various levels of personalized learning support to classroom teachers, personalized learning coordinators, teacher leaders, principals and district leaders. Elisa’s work with agency and innovation is a continuing journey from the Imaginarium work (innovation lab for DPS) which stems from being a Montessori teacher where she had the amazing opportunity to teach in a public Montessori classroom for DPS and experience personalized learning first-hand. Elisa continues to lead the IDI work in her district as well many aspects of equity, diversity, inclusion and intercultural competence professional learning.
