Jennifer Johnson is an equity, inclusion, and diversity professional with over 20 years of professional experience. Starting her career in state government, Jennifer was in the field of program management, managing multi-million dollar contracts and vendors for the State of Illinois Tourism Bureau. She transitioned to Washington, DC in 2005 and took on a role with the city’s major transportation provider, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), initially as a Vendor Specialist and then moved on to become a Workforce Diversity and Compliance Specialist for the organization. In this role, she fell in love with the grassroots nature of her work which would soon shape her career path within the field of equity, inclusion, and diversity. She went on to pursue roles within the social justice, equity, inclusion, and diversity space with organizations such as the American Red Cross, Human Rights Campaign, and Kaiser Permanente. She possesses over 12 years of experience helping organizations realize their full potential through the benefits of being an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organization.
