About
Rachel is the lead consultant at Sustineo. She's spent over 30 years serving communities as a middle leader, Associate Head, Director and Board Member.
When Sustinio supports projects that organizational leaders and their teams don't have the time and or the skills to properly tackle, those teams can turn their focus to the good stuff. Namely, what their goals are and what impacts and empowers their students and or staff to achieve their potential. Individuals and teams are able to work together more effectively and effect change faster and more sustainably on the ground.
Rachel was formerly the Head of School at Benjamin Franklin International School in Barcelona, Spain, the Director of the International School of Hannover, Germany and the Associate Head of School at the Atlanta International School in Atlanta, GA (USA). Prior to that she worked for Atlanta Public Schools and lived and taught for several years in England and in Malaysia. She holds an M.A in Educational Leadership and Management, a Postgraduate Certificate of Education and an honors degree in Applied and Environmental Geology. She is known for her unique combination of a geologist’s patience and big picture view, combined with a geoscientist’s attention to detail. Rachel volunteers for the Council of International Schools (CIS) , serves on the Educational Collaborative for International Schools (ECIS) Board and has served on the Boards of the Academy of Intrenational School Heads (AISH) and Center for the Advancement and Study of International Education (CASIE) amongst others.
