About

Julia is an intercultural coach and facilitator of learning. Born and raised in Central NY state, Julia Hobday has lived in small towns, big cities, and rural villages both domestically and internationally. No matter the setting, Julia believes that community thrives when its rich layers of difference are noticed, named, and uplifted. She loves working with people from across the beautiful spectrum of culture and considers her work “bridge-building”: connecting diverse perspectives in a variety of environments. Julia’s purpose is to create an environment in which clients, colleagues, and partners feel held and seen even as they challenge themselves to do hard things. Julia brings over 25 years of personal and professional experience in racial equity and intercultural development to her practice. She is a Qualified Administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) and Intercultural Conflict Styles (ICS), a Certified Professional Diversity Coach with Coach Diversity Institute, and a trained Racial Justice Facilitator. She holds an Advanced Certificate in Equity and Diversity from the University of Minnesota, and is proficient in Spanish. Julia is truly grateful to have worked in the organizational development field with the values-driven, fiercely dedicated and compassionate group at BetterWorld Partners since 2016.
