With an M.A. in international education from SIT Graduate Institute and a B.A. in psychology from Boston College, Cara is passionate about facilitating intercultural learning and supporting student development throughout the undergraduate years and beyond. As an IDI Qualified Administrator, she enjoys supporting groups and individuals to develop their cultural self-awareness and build their intercultural capacity.
As a career advisor at Connecticut College, Cara supports students in critically reflecting on their academic, professional, and personal experiences to illuminate a clear path forward. Through a combination of group instruction and individual advising, she provides targeted resources and helps students develop the clarity and skills they need to translate their college experience into meaningful work.
In her previous role as the director of operations for the Toor Cummings Center for International Studies and the Liberal Arts (CISLA), Cara offered holistic advising to scholars, supported students in identifying and securing international internships, and was deeply involved in designing and co-teaching curriculum centered on intercultural learning and experiential education.
