Dr. Nozella Brown is an educator, trainer, and cultural competence practitioner with more than three decades of experience helping individuals and organizations strengthen intercultural competence and create meaningful, measurable change. As an adjunct professor in adult development, Director Emeritus of a K-State Research & Extension county office, and CEO of Brown Consulting, LLC, she has dedicated her career to advancing cultural competancy with special attention to individual growth, organizational effectiveness, and health equity.
A licensed Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®) Qualified Administrator since 2015, Dr. Brown uses the IDI as a foundational assessment tool to help individuals and groups understand their current intercultural mindset and identify practical next steps for growth. Her work has supported a wide range of clients, including military officers, nonprofit and foundation boards, university leaders and staff, city government public safety personnel, and individuals seeking to expand their intercultural competence. She believes lasting change requires more than policy alone; it also requires intentional development of self-awareness, cultural understanding, and action.
