I became an educator because I know what it feels like to sit in a classroom and believe you don’t belong there.
That experience shaped everything about the work I do today.
I began my adult working journey in the business realm and have now spent more than 15 years in education—and completed a doctoral dissertation on student belonging—driven by a simple commitment: every child deserves to be seen, valued, and supported as their full, authentic self.
My work now focuses on helping schools create environments where belonging is not accidental or reserved for a few—it’s intentionally designed into the culture. I partner with educators, leaders, community members, and industry partners to shift systems from compliance and standardization to humanizing, identity-affirming, equity-centered practice.
