About
I've spent my career of 25+ years working at the intersections of education, conflict management, and intercultural communication. My research focuses on how higher education institutions can use culturally relevant pedagogy to engage all learners. I have facilitated the IDI for groups and individual, students and professionals. I have also led conflict skills training including 30-hour mediator trainings, workplace and collegiate conflict skills workshops, and restorative practices workshops with group sizes ranging from fewer than 10 to nearly 2000, with ages ranging from 3 to 83-years old. I've been honored as an invited speaker at a UN conference on violence against women, NASPA and ASCA conferences, and Department of Justice Office of Violence Against Women campus grant programs.
