About
WHO I AM, MY PEOPLE:
I am a grateful husband and parent to three kids (ages 16, 14, and 11) in a multiracial family, a son to aging parents, I am a neighbor, and a friend. I awaken daily to the privileges of my race and gender, and as such I see them as leverage and a place to stand from where I shall move the world as part of my story of Creation and Liberation.
DEI & PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
I work as a coach, trainer, and ally in the vital work of DEI with clients ranging from small public-sector teams to multinational corporations. It is an honor to be a part of championing growth in the new competencies that today's leaders require. I have been an IDI QA since 2017 and have had the remarkable privilege of doing IDI coaching for 750+ people to date! For the last twenty-five years my work has been anchored in multicultural and diverse economic environments that have fostered deep intercultural proficiencies: addiction and recovery education, urban community development, and philanthropy/fundraising. Early in my working life I discovered a love of communicating potent, actionable ideas when teaching biology, chemistry, and physics in an alternative high school and in the Hennepin County Juvenile Detention system.
I love to co-create potent and actionable strategies with individuals and teams who are humble and hungry for impact-through-change, delivering actionable and strategic guidance to build individual and organizational agility and ability. The outcome: people and teams who are poised and prepared to navigate the rich opportunities and challenges that exist in today's multigenerational, multicultural workplace.
